Dana third-graders make African shields

"Dana Elementary School third-grade students recently created African shields. The shields were made during art class under the instruction of art teacher Nancy Engleman. The students learned about African traditions and culture and the use of symmetry. Members of Ms. Evans’s third-grade class with their shields, from left, first row, are Derek Robins and Alexander Powell.
